A special day

Today we had no appointments and arranged for a driver to pick us up after lunch to deliver some packages we brought from people at home to some Tennesseans living in Uganda and to see some places we've heard about in Jinja.  Wilson, our driver, is an amazing man.  He took us to Amani Baby Cottage, The Source of the Nile River, Bujagali Falls, and to Ekisa.

We had a few stressful moments as we chased down some paperwork we need to take to the US Embassy tomorrow.  Peter (one of my 2 favorite Ugandans) SAVED THE DAY...AGAIN, and we have the papers in hand and we will be able to go to Kampala tomorrow.  We ended our day at an American cuisine restaurant in downtown Jinja eating by candlelight because all the power in the downtown area went out.

I want to tell you all about these places but it is VERY late here and our driver is  coming at 6am to take us to Kampala.  Soooo, I'm gonna do something much better and I'm going to give you a link that will warm your heart...

  1. Warm my heart? More like break it. Thanks again for sharing and keeping us up to date. Miss you all like crazy. Tell Renee you is an absolute HERO. And don't forget to tell little Abigail that her PatPat loves her sooooooo much. And as for Makenzie - the answer is NO - you cannot stay.
