We survived the first night without Daddy and Big Sister. We visited an orphanage today called Sonrise Baby Home and ate lunch in town with Abigail's friends (the babies that are coming to TN REALLY soon). A fantastic friend of a friend named Love was also at the lunch table with her 2 boys that she is adopting from Redeemer House. AMAZING boys, for an amazing mom and family! Mandie and I talked for a bit about how perfectly the adopted children are for their forever families. It is so obvious that God created them specifically IN EVERY WAY for their forever families. Like a piece that fits exact! After lunch we needed to get some supplies to Auntie Renee asap so baby sister and I did our first ride together on a Boda (motorcycle)!!! She absolutely loved it! Me, eh, well we didn't WRECK so it's all good!
We also spent much time today praying for baby Atim (we brought him back from Abigail's birth village). The Lord took Atim home this afternoon. Please pray for his mother, father and other family members. Please pray for Renee , her staff and the visiting nurses that have worked so hard to help this precious boy. My heart is heavy!
Love from Uganda!
Here are some pictures from Auntie Jackie.... ENJOY
It was great seeing Mike and Kizzy coming down that hall at the airport. All Mike could talk about was what an amazing and life changing experience this has been. Can't wait to repeat that scene in a couple of weeks when you and Abi come down that same hall at the airport.
